Hamilton, Petrocelli, Sprissler & Sands is a partnership focused on defending criminal and traffic cases in the Northern Virginia area. Our attorneys have practiced in the region for more than a decade, bringing to the firm unique and considerable experience litigating all manner of cases, ranging from simple speeding tickets to rape, robbery and homicide.
Jenna Koetting Sands is a graduate of Lindenwood University, in St.
Charles, Missouri, not far from her home town of St. Louis. She came to
Virginia to attend the Washington and Lee School of Law and remained
a resident of the Commonwealth following graduation and her admission
to the bar in 2000.
Ms. Sands has had the privelege of clerking for three Circuit Court
Judges; Judge Rossie D. Alston, Jr. in Prince William County, Judge
Thomas Wood in Augusta County and Judge Humes Franklin, Jr. in the
City of Staunton. Following her clerkships, Ms. Sands practiced with
Phillips, Beckwith, Hall & Chase in Fairfax and soon after joined the
Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney's Office where she prosecuted
all forms of criminal felonies and misdemeanors. She returned to
Phillips, Beckwith, Hall & Chase and continued litigating criminal and
traffic matters until partnering with the existing firm of Hamilton,
Petrocelli and Sprissler.
Ms. Sands is a member of theVirginia State Bar as well the Fairfax Bar
Association and serves on the General District Court Committee and the
Circuit Court Committee. Ms. Sands also provides pro bono assistance
to Legal Services of Northern Virginia.
